Haq Box Office Collections: Haq, the much-awaited thriller with Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi, had a brilliant box office opening. Initially estimated to collect around Rs 1.65 crore on the very first day, it managed to capture audience interest in metropolitan cities, multiplex shows with very tough competition from previously released films.
Haq received largely mixed responses from the critics with some complimenting the dramatic tangle and strong performances from the lead actor while others found it noteworthy.Other aspects of the film also include an excellently intense performance by Yami Gautam and the dimensional character played by Emraan Hashmi. The patrons who went to a multiplex in the early paying audience may help foster some weekend business because of the suspense and relevant social content.
Night and evening shows knocked out maximum collections thus indicating a sound interest from urban masses. Trade experts expect around 30-40 percent increase in collections on Saturday and Sunday as word-of-mouth grows positively.
Haq has the capability to compete effectively with the newly released big-banner films but specifically managed to capture a particular audience. Tight budgets and okay performances by the film have left a good chance for it to recover cost in the near days.
As per the industry observers, maintaining the pace, the total collections of the film by the end of the first weekend are expected to come in the range of over ₹67 crores. The weekdays will matter quite critically for its eventual success at the cash counter.
Keeping in mind the serious story and compelling performances, the film opens on a good note for a healthy run as long as audience reviews keep improving progressively through the weekend.
