The film has worked well with the population of northern India, with praise for the suspenseful script and Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda’s dominating performances. The film is still limited in its popularity in southern markets.
Jack, however, has failed to impress at the box office. The film, with a low-key opening, managed to collect less than ₹2 crore on Friday. While the storyline was engaging, absence of star power and lack of publicity affected its visibility. The big-ticket releases like Good Bad Ugly and Jaat contributed to the competition as well, overshadowing its performance further.
