Haq Box Office Predictions: Haq, a courtroom drama starring Yami Gautam, is among the most-awaited Hindi films this season and is nearing release with co-star Emraan Hashmi. The film enjoys good buzz on account of its strong storyline and performances. A blend of social commentary and gripping courtroom drama, Haq seeks to appeal to both urban audiences and young multiplex-goers with a penchant for powerful dramas.
Trade opinions seem to suggest that Haq will be getting off to a steady start with projections for Day 1 collection varying between ₹3–4 crore across India. And if the reception from the audience is appreciable, then the film could grow through the evening shows with possibly ₹5 crore on Day 1. With Yami Gautam’s track record of giving strong performances in films such as Article 370 and A Thursday, the first negative word-of-mouth campaign could adversely affect weekend collections.
There has been no confirmation of the official budget, but trade analysts state that Haq was mounted with a budget of ₹30–35 crores for production and marketing. Given that non-theatrical deals regarding OTT, music, and satellite rights will be contributing ₹5–10 crores into the film, it essentially needs to earn at least ₹20–25 crores net from theatre collections for the breakeven mark. That translated into ₹40–50 crores gross worldwide for the producers to recover the investments and book profits.
Yami Gautam is yet again in another strong, performanced-driven film that runs with the vein of meaningful cinema. The further fate of the film lies now in audience perception and stability through the weekend. If Haq can venture into Week 2 with positive critical word of mouth and equally positive audience reception, then it can reach easy heights beyond breakeven.

In other words, Haq doesn’t require mammoth blockbuster opening; consistent audience approval will give it a box office win as well as another critical thumbs-up in favour of Yami Gautam.
