Haq Movie Budget: Haq, being one of the highly awaited courtroom dramas of 2025, features Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi as the lead pair. Directed by Suparn Verma, the film narrates the themes of belief, justice, and gender equality with the backdrop of the historic Shah Bano case. But beyond emotional depth, the film’s focus is also on its commercial value-will Haq become a money-spinner?
Haq is expected to cost about ₹28-30 crores for productions, marketing, and distribution, and here’s the calculation:
Production Costs: ₹18-20 crore
Marketing & Promotions: ₹6-8 crore
Distribution & Certification: ₹2 crore
The cast and crew create a very great percentage of the expenses. Emraan Hashmi was said to charge about ₹12 crores for his role while Yami Gautam earned around ₹4 crores. The remaining budget is there to pay for director Suparn Verma’s team and technical crew estimated at around ₹5-6 crores.
Haq is jointly produced by Junglee Pictures, Baweja Studios, DJ Fluke Productions, and Insomnia Films, whose standing is solid in making pertinent and content-oriented cinema.
For the film to be called a success, Haq needs to generate a minimum revenue (240,000,000) from India alone. A net of 35-40 crores will declare this film a hit, and upon crossing 50 crores (including overseas and OTT deals), it will be condemned to a super hit!

The film has started generating credibility due to being granted zero cuts in India, UAE, UK, and Australia. Combining real-life inspiration, strong courtroom drama, and socially minded themes, it bears the potential of becoming Pink-esque.
If the positive buzz and word-of-mouth survive, then Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi’s Haq could well be the strongest candidate for a mid-budget success story of 2025.
