Kanguva Day 4 Collections: On its opening day, the film made just Rs 24 Crore. This may not be the best start for Suriya’s film. On the second day, the film saw a drastic dip in the collections with no positive word of mouth, the second day collected just Rs 9.00 Crore. The third day saw a little hike and the film made Rs 9.50 Crore on its first Saturday at the box office. This positive hike in collections raised the hope for Kanguva makers. By the first Sunday, the collections stood at Rs 10.50 crore bringing the total to massive Rs 54 crore.
Kanuva set in the 1100s, follows Kanga (Played by Suriya) the prince of the island village of Perumaachi. Kanga tries to shield his clan and a child whose father he murdered from an impending threat posed by a foreign invader who manipulates a rival clan led by Udhiran ( Played by Bobby Deol). On the other hand, the film goes to the present time 2024. Francis (Portrayed by Suriya) is a bounty hunter pursued by a child who looks like the one from the past. The Russians kidnapped this toddler for a brain-mapping experiment. Throughout the film, there are repeated glimpses of the Moon, quietly implying that it has remained a constant presence in both timelines.
Kanguva is all set to make its theatrical debut soon. Suriya’s epic action thriller starring Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in lead roles will make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming partner Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the Kanguva OTT release. But the twist is they haven’t announced the release date but they promised to release Kanguva after its successful theatrical release.
