Dhanush’s ‘Kubera’ has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. On the third day of its release, the film surpassed the domestic collection of Vikram’s ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ and achieved a remarkable feat.
‘Kubera’ had a strong opening with a collection of Rs 14.75 crore on the first day. On the second day, Saturday, Dhanush’s film collected Rs 16.5 crore with a growth of 11.86%. The total collection of the three days is over Rs 30 crore. This is more than the lifetime domestic collection of ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’.
Looking at the worldwide box office figures, ‘Kubera’ earned Rs 28.40 crore on the first day and Rs 53.75 crore in two days. It is expected to touch Rs 80 crore on the third day. 70% of the collection of the film is from the Telugu version. Nagarjuna’s presence in the film has made Dhanush’s film attractive to the Telugu audience. The first day collection is 10.55 crores in Andhra and Nizam, 4.30 crores in Tamil Nadu, 1.60 crores in Karnataka, 0.30 crores in Kerala and 11.15 crores overseas.
Directed by Shekhar Kammula, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad. The film received mixed reviews, but it also received good reviews.

Some reviews said that the film is Dhanush’s one-man show. While some who saw the film praised the background score of the film and Dhanush, others said that Nagarjuna’s unique role and Kubera’s excellent narration were the best.
Sonali Narang is presenting the film, produced by Sunil Narang and Pushkar Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Private Limited. At the same time, many were saying that the length of the film was a big problem.
