Kuberaa Budget vs Box Office: Kuberaa, featuring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, was released in theatres on June 20, 2025, with great anticipation. With a high scale production and ace star cast, the film was promoted as one of the biggest South Indian releases of the year. But is it turning out to be a profitable one?
The estimated cost of production of Kuberaa is between ₹120 to ₹150 crore. This is all inclusive of the cost of production, salary for its star cast, VFX, action choreography, and marketing charges. The movie had already made a splash by booking huge deals in OTT and satellite rights before its release in theatres.
OTT Rights: Bought by Amazon Prime Video for around ₹50 crore.
Satellite Rights: Industry estimates indicate the approximate amount to be ₹15–₹20 crore.
This off-the-shelf collections had already recouped a significant amount of investment before ticket sales even took place.
In just the first three days of its release, Kuberaa has recorded impressive figures:
Day 1 (India): ₹14.75 crore
Day 2: ₹16 crore
Day 3: ₹17.25 crore
This takes the domestic total to ₹48.5 crore. Overseas, the film is also doing great, particularly in the US and UAE, adding another ₹27.5 crore, taking the global total to ₹76 crore roughly.
Adding all collections till now:
Domestic and overseas box office: ₹76 crore
OTT rights: ₹50 crore
Satellite and other rights: ₹15–20 crore
This totals to ₹141–146 crore, which is almost equal to the overall cost of the film and is likely to gain profit within the first week of its release.

Kuberaa has made a good opening at the box office and has already earned back most of its investment. With a good weekend and sustained interest over the next few days, the movie will soon become profitable. Going by the trends so far, Kuberaa will be another commercial success for Dhanush and team.
