Mass Jathara 3-Days Box Office Collections: Directed by Anudeep KV, Mass Jathara, a Ravi Teja film. It was expected to create lots of festive fireworks at the box office. However, the box office numbers tell a different story. Despite being hotly anticipated and aggressively promoted, the film saw a dismal start since it was unable to garner audiences to the theaters during the opening weekend.
As per trade reports, Mass Jathara made ₹2.9 crore on Friday, ₹3.75 crore on Saturday. And ₹2.64 crore on Sunday to take the three-day tally to ₹9.29 crore (India net). With a slight rise on Saturday, there arose some hopes; on the down side, however, Sunday’s fall of 29.6% probably means that momentum has all but withered.
The mixed reaction from audiences has been another substantial cause of the film’s running down. Viewers were found praising Mass Jathara mostly for the energy Ravi Teja brought to the project. But many felt let down by the screenplay and weak emotions. In the current market scenario, good content is preferred over star power, and Mass Jathara appears to be running into problems in that regard.
In spite of the advantage offered by the holiday season, occupancy levels of the film in major Telugu cities of Hyderabad and Vizag remained below appreciable. While single screens in lesser towns also barely exhibited improvement.
With a moderate budget and heavy marketing cost, trade pundits feel that recovery is very unlikely unless the film starts to pick up dramatically during the weekdays. This, in tandem with heavy competition from recent and upcoming releases, might negatively impact its earnings.

It may find some cushion in OTT and satellite deals, but theatrical release is doomed. Mass Jathara may not find similar fate as one of his former hits, Dhamaka or Krack, for Ravi Teja. Who is known for mass entertainers. Three days box office performance in this regard for Mass Jathara does not look decent. It stands at the risk of becoming one of the actor’s weaker outings in recent years. Greatly depending on further improvement in word-of-mouth publicity.
