OG Box Office Day 3: The OG, starring Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, has swept the box office. Directed by Sujeeth, this action entertainer is among the most highly anticipated Telugu releases for 2025. The film has been produced under the banner of DVV Entertainment and, accordingly, has generated a humongous pre-release buzz, of which early collections justify that hype. OG has already crossed ₹170 crore worldwide in just two days, paving the way for record-breaking runs.
The film initiated its journey with ₹21 crore from premieres alone. Ticket prices have been pushed to a premium-₹1000 in Andhra Pradesh and ₹800 in Telangana. It opened on Friday with a phenomenal ₹63.75 crore net in India, making it one of the strongest openings for a Telugu film this year. The sheer volume the film has grossed is proof of both Pawan Kalyan star power and curiosity in Sujeeth’s film directorial venture.
On Saturday, there was the predictable drop that occurred whereby the film earned approximately ₹18.50 crore net in India. Taking its cumulative domestic figure up to ₹122 crore. It must be noted, however, that despite the drop, it was heavily reported that the Telugu regions dominated with 42.08-percent occupancy. While the Hindi, Tamil, and the Kannada versions contributed to the overall numbers. Thus, the global tally would amount to ₹210 crore at the end of day two, including premieres.
Besides Pawan Kalyan, the film stars Emraan Hashmi in an important role, marking his foray into Telugu cinema as well. The supporting cast includes Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy and Prakash Raj. All of whom contribute to the depth of the story. Music by Thaman S further enhances the mass appeal of this film with high-octane tracks and a pulsating background score.
