Vettaiyan Kickstarted its box office journey by commanding Rs 77.90 crore on its opening day. Rajinikanth starrer continued its successful run at theatres with an impressive 45.26 crore on its second day. By day 3 the collections minted Rs 47.87 crore making it a total of 171.03 crores by its first weekend.

On the eighth day, the film’s overall collections reached to Rs 122.10 crore. Despite the declining collections, the film is maintaining its momentum at the box office.

With 8th-day collections, Vettaiyan entered the 300 crore club at the global box office beating Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu. Now Vettaiyan stands at Rs 302.12 crore at the global box office.
