The 71st National Film Awards 2025 will be announced today. The announcement will be made at 6 pm. At 4 pm, the awards jury will report to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Minister of State L Murugan. The jury will meet the media at 6 pm at the Delhi NMC. The films censored in 2023 were considered for the awards.

Bollywood stars Rani Mukherjee and Vikrant Massey are reportedly in the lead in the race for the Best Actor award. Rani Mukherjee starred in the film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Vikrant Massey’s performance in 12th Fail has put him in the lead in the race for the award.

There are also reports that the award for best entertainment film will go to Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway was inspired by the true story of the kidnapping of an Indian couple’s children by the Norwegian police in 2011. 12th Fail is a film about the life of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who fights against circumstances and becomes an IPS officer.
