Actress Urvashi questioned the jury at the 71st National Film Awards. Urvashi asked on what criteria Shah Rukh Khan was given the Best Actor award and how Vijayaraghavan got the Supporting Actor award. Urvashi asks if Vijayaraghavan was given a special jury mention and if the jury looked into his film experience.
“A great actor like Kuttettan. What did the jury consider in the acting of Kuttettan and Shah Rukh? On what criteria did they see any discrepancy? How did this become a supporting actor and how did he become a better actor? All this should be asked. Kuttettan’s experience in films for so long. It is not a film that can be shot for 250 days on a big budget like in other languages. I was supposed to act as Kuttettan’s pair in the film Pookalam.

Please give a special jury mention for that? How did he become a supporting actor? I am only asking how on the basis of what. There is a reason. Let’s say that the level of Urvashi’s acting has decreased so much due to Vijay Raghavan’s acting. Why was the best actress not shared. Vijay Raghavan’s award “Why did it happen like this? Why wasn’t there even a special jury award? Did the jury inquire about his experience? Has any other actor played a character like this before and done well? That’s all I can say,” Urvashi said.
