Alia Bhatt Weight Loss Secret: Here’s Secret Behind Her Fitness

Alia Bhatt Weight Loss Secret:
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt recently revealed that she lost weight through intermittent fasting (IF) a popular eating method that focuses on time-restricted eating. Celebrity nutritionists have also shared that stars like Sara Ali Khan have benefitted from this approach, losing around 10 kilograms through healthy fasting. But is this method truly safe for everyone? Let’s understand what experts say.

Alia Bhatt Weight Loss Secret:

Intermittent fasting, especially the 16:8 method, involves eating during an eight-hour window and fasting for the remaining 16 hours. For example, one might eat between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. and fast the rest of the time. During the fasting hours, only water or zero-calorie drinks are allowed.

Doctor’s Insight

Dr. Pal Manickam, a U.S.-based gastroenterologist, explained that this method helps the body rest and repair itself. According to him, fasting lowers insulin levels, which allows the body to burn fat more efficiently. When insulin gets proper rest during nighttime fasting, it helps prevent tiredness and maintains stable energy levels the next day.

Busting Common Myths

Dr. Pal shared that many people confuse thirst with hunger during fasting. He recommends drinking 2 to 2.5 liters of water daily to stay hydrated and reduce hunger pangs. Proper hydration not only prevents fatigue but also supports overall body function during fasting.

Is It Safe for Everyone?

While IF is effective for many, it might not suit people who suffer from acid reflux or certain medical issues. Their bodies may take longer to adjust, and they could initially experience mild heartburn. Hence, one should always start slowly and consult a doctor before beginning.

Tips to Start Fasting Safely

Dr. Pal advises beginners not to jump directly into the 16-hour fast. Instead, start with shorter fasting windows. During the eating period, one should have three balanced meals with adequate protein and fiber, which keep insulin levels stable and ensure fullness. Avoid unnecessary snacking between meals.

Importance of Balanced Meals and Hydration

Even while fasting, one must eat nutritious foods such as rice, dosa, or grains combined with vegetables and proteins. This promotes muscle strength while burning fat. Drinking enough water is equally important to prevent dizziness and dehydration.

Intermittent fasting is not a quick fix but a long-term lifestyle change. Dr. Pal emphasizes listening to your body, eating early in the evening, and allowing the digestive system to rest at night. With patience and balance, this method can support healthy weight loss, better metabolism, and improved mental clarity over time.
