Anchor Lobo: Lobo, whose real name is Mohammed Khayyum, was born sometime in 1982 in Hyderabad. After DJing came television, where he shone with his inbuilt communications skills fine enough to capture any audience. His quirky style and straight-from-the-heart remarks made him a popular face in the Telugu entertainment.
Besides TV anchoring, Lobo gained fame as a contestant in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2. He kept himself on tabloids, winning his fans, through a blend of his hard wit, raw candor, and quite shocking comments. Television became his pathway toward transforming into one of the most supreme English-speaking anchors for the Telugu media space.
But Lobo’s road to success turned black with the occurrence of an unfortunate incident: a car crash on May 21, 2018. On the way back from video shooting at Warangal, his car ended crashing into an auto at Nidigonda, in Raghunathapalli mandal, Jangaon district. The collision abruptly ended the lives of Mede Kumar and Pembarthi Manemma from Khilashapuram village, with scores of others injured. Lobo and his co-workers received minor injuries when the vehicle turned upside down.
Based on the complaints from the relatives of the victims, the case was immediately reported in the police station of Raghunathapalli. After many years, the Jangaon court sentenced Lobo to one year in jail and imposed a fine of ₹12,500, besides convicting him in the accident case.
This ruling must rank as one of the most difficult periods of Lobo’s life. He had earlier spoken about the tough road to maintaining a standing in the entertainment industry, and now, this verdict casts doubts above his future in it.

From being a shining television personality to now facing a jail term, Lobo’s journey has seen the glamour but now unknown to the grim realities of public life. His case is but a very stark reminder of how one tragedy can change the course of a career built over many years.
