Why Baaghi 4 Failed to Win Over Audience

When Baaghi 4 was announced, fans hoped for a thrilling continuation of the action-packed franchise that once redefined Tiger Shroff’s career. Instead, what we got was a chaotic, directionless mess that neither pays homage to its roots nor brings anything fresh to the table.

An Instagram reel?

From the first frame, Baaghi 4 feels like a poorly stitched Instagram reel compilation. Scenes jump erratically, lacking cohesion or emotional buildup. Backstories are dumped haphazardly, as if the editor was trying to patch holes on a sinking ship. The storytelling is so disjointed that it’s hard to invest in the characters or even understand their motivations.

The direction tries to walk a strange line: part spoof, part serious action drama. It’s as if the director wanted to parody films like Animal, while the producer still hoped to recapture the gritty essence of Baaghi 2. The result? A confused narrative with no clear identity. There was potential in the plot, sure, but it’s buried under a pile of poor execution and cringe-worthy sequences.

South would have done it better?

One can’t help but wonder: what if a South Indian director had taken the reins? At the very least, we could have expected tight storytelling, emotionally charged action sequences, and a gripping screenplay with twists to keep the audience hooked. Even the trailer lacked punch, and that’s supposed to be your first hook to grab viewers.

And then there’s Tiger Shroff. With over a decade in the industry, one would expect some evolution in performance. Instead, he still plays every scene like he’s on his debut; flat emotions, robotic line delivery, and the same old action poses. It’s frustrating to watch someone with such physical talent be stuck in a loop of mediocrity.

The music, the supporting cast, even the production design, all seemed like afterthoughts. There’s no soul, no sincerity, just a ticking of commercial checkboxes. By the end, laughter becomes a coping mechanism for the sheer absurdity of it all.

Baaghi 4 isn’t just a bad film. It’s a wasted opportunity; a failure of direction, writing, editing, and vision. It disrespects not only the audience’s intelligence but also the legacy of a franchise that once had promise.
