Vijay Deverakonda Gets ED Summons: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued another notice to Tollywood’s popular actor Vijay Deverakonda. Regarding some matters related to a high-profile investigation into a betting apps scam. The actor has been ordered to drop in for questioning scheduled to take place on August 11. In addition to the earlier notice that he had to make an appearance on August 6. The repeated summons from the agency indicates that there are speculations regarding a celebrity connection to the illegal betting network and has confirmed its attention to these links.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently in an investigation regarding the enormous money laundering case. Involving the illegal betting applications that falsely compared it with illicit channels of unaccounted money through crypto or any other non-transparent methods. These betting sites or apps often claimed by the users to be ‘gaming apps’. Reported that these apps have involved the promotion or endorsement from many personalities, perhaps not fully aware of their illegalities.
Vijay Deverakonda, the mesmerizing screen presence and youth magnet, was believed to have seen or participated in some of its events. There are no formal charges against him, but many notices have been slapped that suggest that the agency is interested in understanding what form of involvement he has in this and if monetary transactions did happen.
Another major name that has emerged much in the inquiry is actor-producer Rana Daggubati. Who has already moved for more time to be examined by the ED. Sources reveal that as the probe moves ahead more such notices could be issued from the agency to other film personalities.
