Disha Patani House Attacked: Bollywood actor Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, witnessed a shocking incident on Friday when unidentified people opened fire outside her residence. The police confirmed the firing and said that further investigation is underway.
According to media reports, gangster groups linked to Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara have claimed responsibility for the attack. In a Facebook post, they alleged that the firing was a warning after Disha’s sister, Khushboo Patani, made remarks against their revered saints, Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.
The post stated that the attack was carried out because Khushboo had insulted their religious leaders and disrespected Sanatan Dharma. The gangsters further warned that such behavior would not be tolerated in the future and issued threats of more severe consequences if similar incidents occurred again.
Link to Controversy
This incident comes after Khushboo Patani’s strong criticism of spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya’s comments about women and live-in relationships. The preacher had reportedly said that women above the age of 25 who remain unmarried or live in live-in relationships were of loose character. Khushboo openly condemned these remarks, calling them disrespectful and harmful to women.
She also clarified that some of her comments were wrongly circulated online, creating the impression that her criticism was aimed at Premanand Maharaj, which she denied. Despite her explanation, the issue sparked outrage in certain groups, ultimately leading to the current tension.
Current Situation
The firing reportedly took place outside villa number 40 in Civil Lines, Bareilly, where the Patani family resides. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Both Disha and Khushboo Patani have not yet released any official statements regarding the attack.
The police have increased security in the area and are monitoring the situation closely. Authorities are also working to trace those behind the Facebook post claiming responsibility.
