However, an interesting story has been going viral in film circles — the role that made Rishab Shetty famous was first offered to a Tollywood superstar. According to reports, Rishab Shetty had written the story of Kantara keeping Jr NTR in mind. Being a big admirer of the Telugu star, Rishab wanted to direct him in the film. He even met Jr NTR and narrated the story, which the actor reportedly liked very much.

But due to his busy schedule with RRR and later commitments for Devara, Jr NTR couldn’t allot dates for Kantara. Hence, he had to decline the project despite liking the story. After that, Rishab decided to act in the film himself a decision that completely changed his career.

The movie went on to become a sensation, proving that destiny sometimes works in mysterious ways. While Jr NTR missed the project, Rishab Shetty became a national icon with Kantara. Now, Kantara Chapter 1 is continuing the same legacy, once again winning hearts and breaking records.
