Malayalam cinema’s superhero journey is picking up pace. Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, is already known for being the first female-led superhero film in the industry. But today, Dulquer Salmaan revealed something new the rest of the film’s main cast.
Dulquer, who is producing the film under Wayfarer Films, took to social media to introduce the characters. Fans got their first look at Naslen as Sunny, Arun Kurian as Naijil, Chandru as Venu, and Sandy as Inspector Nachiappa. These posters hinted at the diverse personalities that make up Chandra’s world.
His caption read, “Introducing the people of Lokah… stay tuned for an exciting cinematic experience! Lokah they live among us.”
The film’s teaser, released earlier, had already generated strong buzz. Kalyani’s character, Chandra, shows off superhuman strength, speed, and agility. The visuals also hint at her mysterious past, with flashes of ancient symbols and horseback riders.
Naslen’s character appears to be the first to uncover her secret. Meanwhile, Sandy’s role as a no-nonsense cop brings added tension. The world-building looks massive, promising a mix of mythology, action, and emotion.

Directed by Dominic Arun, the film brings together a top creative team. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi, editor Chaman Chakko, and music director Jakes Bejoy are all on board. Hollywood stunt expert Yannick Ben handles the action, raising the bar for Malayalam superhero films.
With a strong cast, bold vision, and big production values, Lokah is shaping up to be more than just a film. It could be the start of an entire superhero universe.
