Emily in Paris is officially trading croissants for canals. Netflix has confirmed that Season 5 of the hit series will premiere on December 18, and this time, Emily is headed to Venice, Italy.
The first-look images, released Wednesday, reveal a stylish new chapter for the fashion-forward marketer including a sleek bob haircut and a dramatic Italian backdrop.

According to the official synopsis, Emily has taken charge of Agence Grateau’s new Rome office, bringing her signature flair and chaos to a new city. But Venice is not all gondolas and romance. She will face major career hurdles and emotional twists.
“Just as everything falls into place,” the synopsis warns, “a work idea backfires, leading to heartbreak and career setbacks.” Emily then leans into her French lifestyle, only to face a big secret that threatens one of her closest relationships. As tensions rise, she must decide who she can truly trust. With everything on the line, Emily is forced to grow in ways she never expected.
Joining Lily Collins in the new season are Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello and Ashley Park as Mindy, along with returning favorites including Lucas Bravo, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, and Bruno Gouery. New cast members this season include Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michele Laroque, adding fresh energy to the mix.

Season 4 ended with Emily settling into life in Rome, both professionally and personally.
