Honeymoon Murder Movie: Following the arrest of his wife, Sonam, and her suspected lover, Raja Raghuvanshi, a transport businessman from Indore, was murdered while on a honeymoon vacation in Meghalaya. His family has agreed to a movie about the incident. “Honeymoon in Shillong” is the provisional title of the film, which is being directed by SP Nimbawat.

“We agreed to the forthcoming movie about the murder case. We think that people won’t be able to tell who was right and who was wrong if the murder of my brother isn’t shown on a large screen.” Sachin, the older brother of Raghuvanshi, informed reporters, Vipin, another brother, stated that they wish to use the movie to accurately portray Meghalaya.

According to Mr. Nimbawat, Raja Raghuvanshi suffered a significant betrayal following his marriage. “Through our film, we want to give a message to the public that such incidents of betrayal should be stopped,” he stated. Mr. Nimbawat stated that the film’s script was complete without disclosing the actors’ names. “80 per cent of its shooting will be done in Indore and the remaining 20 per cent in different areas of Meghalaya,” he stated.

In May, Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam visited Meghalaya. His disfigured body was discovered on June 2 in a steep valley close to a waterfall in the Sohra region (also called Cherrapunji) of the East Khasi Hills district, a few days after he vanished. Eight persons were taken into custody by the police, including Raja’s wife Sonam and her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha.
