HYBE, the label behind BTS and TXT, is launching its first new boy group in six years. The group is officially named CORTIS and will make its debut on August 18, 2025. Ahead of their debut, HYBE will drop a special YouTube video on August 10 at midnight KST, giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect.
CORTIS will debut with five members: Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. Unlike traditional K-pop groups, CORTIS will not assign fixed positions. All members will contribute equally to singing, dancing, visuals, and music production, similar to their seniors, TXT.
The group has already impressed fans with their pre-debut work. Members have contributed to hit tracks like TXT’s “Deja Vu,” “Miracle,” and “Beautiful Strangers,” ENHYPEN’s “Outside,” and LE SSERAFIM’s “Pierrot.” They also hold choreography credits for ILLIT’s “Cherish (My Love)” and “Tick-Tack.”
HYBE launched official social media accounts for CORTIS, introducing the group through a glitch-style video teaser. The visual featured a digital error message revealing the group’s name, sending fans into a frenzy. The teaser has sparked buzz about the group’s concept, style, and musical direction.
HYBE also revealed that CORTIS will be a self-producing group, handling their own songwriting, choreography, and video production. The group is part of HYBE’s new “young creator crew,” aiming to push boundaries in K-pop.

While CORTIS prepares to debut, BTS and TXT continue to dominate. BTS is currently serving their military enlistment but is expected to make a full group comeback in Spring 2026. TXT recently released their fourth studio album, “The Name Chapter: TOGETHER,” on July 21, 2025.
