Is Coolie Copied From THIS Hollywood Movie? These Similarities Spark Debate

Coolie Copied From Hollywood Movie: Rajinikanth’s highly-anticipated film Coolie has already taken the internet by storm. But VHS or its storyline are not the only things generating headlines; the poster has stirred up a lot of curiosity and controversy. Fans and netizens point out that the official Coolie poster perfectly resembles the promotional poster of Hollywood’s Rebel Moon: Part Two-The Scargiver by Zack Snyder.

The Viral Poster Comparison

As soon as the Coolie poster was released, the social networks have been flooded with side-by-side comparisons. With those of Rebel Moon. At first glance, the composition and layout appear strangely the same. Both posters emphasize a larger-than-life lead character at the bottom with swirl-like visuals rising from it. Surrounded by supporting characters in bold action poses. The red drapery in Coolie almost perfectly simulates the swirling energy effect in Rebel Moon, rendering the visual approximation very hard to ignore.

The debate has tilted toward whether the design team of Coolie chose for “inspiration” in Rebel Moon. Or do just copy its visuals. Common indeed to find themes that get shared-unifying spiral motifs, central heroes, collage arrangements-in posters, but dissimilarity in character placement and visual flow is increasingly becoming a talking point.

Some users propose it may be a tribute or by coincidence. Others are, however, disappointed since more originality was expected from a major South Indian production headed by a superstar like Rajinikanth.

No Official Response Yet

So far, neither designers nor the Coolie team has made any statement regarding the allegations of copying. Meanwhile, Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon is further creating its own fan base around a sci-fi saga that is under the world’s scrutiny.

Honestly, whatever it could call-Creative homage, unintentional overlap, or outright copy-the poster similarity certainly caught the spotlight. With fans already hyped for Coolie, the unexpected poster controversy has only stirred more dialogue. And some appreciative voices and some criticizing ones.
