Kantara Chapter 1 Pre-Release Business: Kantara Chapter 1: The prequel to Rishab Shetty’s hit movie from 2022, entitled Kantara, will see the curtains rise in a few days. Buzz is all around. The film is slated for a scheduled theatrical run from October 2, 2025. Expectations have uniformly loomed over its release. The original creation cost around 15 crore but it collected bodaciously over 400 crore worldwide. This particular one, though, is mounted on a much larger scale, with its budget estimated between 100-120 crore.

Pre-Release Business Already in Profit

Kantara Chapter 1 has proved to be a gold mine for its makers even before its theatrical premiere. Massive Rs 125 crore was paid by Amazon Prime Video for the post-theatrical streaming rights, a whopping climb from the first film’s OTT deal. Meanwhile, Zee Network has acquired the satellite rights at around ₹80 crores. So a great television presence is there as well.

As far as the ground situation goes, Telugu states and Tamil Nadu markets have already registered impressive figures. Reports suggest Telugu rights raised ₹100 crores, eclipsing KGF: Chapter 2 for that territory, while it seems Tamil Nadu rights have been sold for ₹32 crores. Telugu viewers were the main contributors in 2022, so this time it’s expected to be bigger.

Music and Brand Tie-Ups

The collection of figures further increased since the film’s music rights were reportedly sold at 30 crores. Alongside some brand tie-ups already finalized, though they did not disclose the details. Altogether these deals accumulate up to almost Rs 370 crores for pre-commercialization. Which is almost equal to the entire India gross of the first part.

Star-studded Inauguration

As if that were not enough, the trailer of the film is officially scheduled for the release on September 22, 2025, at 12:45 pm. Where Hrithik Roshan and other stars like Sivakarthikeyan, Prabhas, and Prithviraj are even going to unveil it in different languages. One huge 2,500+ show paid premiere on October 1st further sets the stage for what could be one of this year’s biggest blockbusters.
