Kayadu Lohar: In Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, Kayadu played the second lead in the film. But, she shot to fame with that role and now she is one of the busiest actors in the film industry. Now, at a recent event, during an interaction she revealed that Simbu’s “Vinnaithandi varuvaya” is her favourite film.

“Yem Maya Chesave” in Telugu
Gautham Vasudev Menon made this film in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously, Simbu and Trisha acted in the Tamil version, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha acted in the Telugu version. Kayadu Lohar said that she feels the same for both these versions. She is very much inspired by the story and the soulful soundtrack by A.R Rahman.
Kayadu further went on to say that the chemistry between Simbu and Trisha is one for the ages and this film holds a special place in her heart.
Differences in climax
Not many know that Telugu and Tamil versions play out differently in the end. In the Tamil version both the leads do not end up together, Karthik makes the film while Jessie watches it. But she is married to another person in real life, whereas in the Telugu version Karthik and Jessie both end up together.
This minute but stark difference is huge in terms of its ideological and emotional message it wants to convey.
Kayadu Lohar romancing Simbu in his next
Kayadu Lohar is all set to play the female lead in the upcoming Simbu film under the direction of Ramkumar Balakrishnan. Tentatively titled as STR49, the film has its official launch in May 2025, Sanathanam is coming back to play a comedian role in the film. He is said to be making an exception only for this film. Simbu is said to be playing a college professor role in the film.
