Sukumar: Released in 2015 ‘Kumari 21F’ is a film that surprised everyone, it told the story of a woman who is perceived wrong by men and falls in love with an innocent young guy. Now, according to the latest news there is a sequel in the works and the film will be produced by Sukumar’s wife ‘Thabitha Sukumar’….

There is more news that Thabitha Sukumar is launching a new production house with this film. Sukumar has his own production house “Sukumar Writings”, now with this additional Production house from the director’s side is expected to launch new talent to the industry.

Kumar 22F will be having its official launch soon and it is expected to make a huge noise just like the first part. The film is another bold love story, Palnati Surya Pratap who recently helmed ‘18 Pages’ directed this film in 2015. It remains to be seen if he will also helm the sequel. 

Kumari 21F

Back in the day Kumari 21F was considered a bold film, it showed the modernity of women in a positive light and at the same time it showed man’s deepest insecurity upfront and without any filter. The film worked well with the younger generation, the film music composed by Devi Sri Prasad is a chartbuster album in the making.  

Kumari 22F

Back in 2015, society was still in a very conservative stage, but today that conservative stage is slowly being diluted by the growing international boom of the internet. Cultural boundaries are being erased and acceptance of foreign cultures is happening at a rapid pace. The influence of it is seen among the young people in ways that seem shocking to us. So, in a way this sequel will have more scope to portray the actual cultural differences.
