Lokah in Bollywood: Malayalam cinema came out with their best release this year, “LOKAH CHAPTER 1: CHANDRA”. Released 3 days back, it is doing well at the box office, and it held strong on Monday as well, giving makers and distributors a sign of relief. Kalyani Priyadarshan, Nalsen, and Sandy played the leads, whereas Tovino Thomas, Dulquer Salmaan appeared in cameos. Dulquer’s production banner Wayfarer films produced this flick, and Dominic Arun directed this superhero slash comedy film.
Down south, in all major languages, the film is collecting good money with the positive word of mouth it gained from the early shows. The film follows Chandra, who is a superhero, and has a secret mission she has to finish. For that, she lands back in the city, and there she encounters Sunny. They both feel the pull, and the friendship/attraction starts. Sunny soon realizes that there is something not right with Chandra, as she was seen only at night, and strange people are coming in and going out of her flat. One night, he follows her and discovers that she is a vampire who was bitten by a bat in her childhood, and she has been living on this earth for hundreds of years. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Release Plan in Hindi:
Lokah is doing very well in all the languages it released, and it passed the crucial Monday test as well. Now, makers wanted to expand their wings and decided to release the film in the Hindi belt as well. As there are no other major releases this September, makers are confident that the film will become a success in Bollywood as well. There might be slight competition with Param Sundari already doing well in theatres and Bhaagi 4, which will be out on September 5th. As neither of these films is carrying any decent buzz, Lokah can strike gold if it secures a proper release and has a good first day.
