Mammootty’s Illness: The Malayalam actor Mammootty said earlier this week that he was completely healed from an ailment that he had fought earlier this year. Actor VK Sreeraman, a friend of the actor, talked to media sources about what happened to him; however, the actor and his family have not commented. What he said is as follows.
Sreeraman on Mammootty’s health and Illness:
Sreeraman informed the media that Mammootty lost his sense of taste and smell after undergoing therapy for a medical condition. When he first called me, he claimed that he had trouble walking and that the food didn’t taste good, he stated. However, he avoided discussing any of that as though it were extremely important. Rather, the buddies reportedly discussed everything from politics to Kerala’s road conditions to agriculture.
The actor further disclosed that his voice was more relieved than excited when Mammootty called to inform him that he had recovered. Sreeraman mentioned that the star’s rehabilitation took time, saying, “He called and said he passed the test.” I know he was relieved, but there was no excitement. Despite my happiness, I kept it to myself. He labeled me a know-it-all when I told him I was confident he could pull it off. Sreeraman claims that because of the risk of infection, Mammootty is currently awaiting the doctor’s approval before returning to work.

Mammootty Health Update:
Rumors circulated in March of this year that Mammootty had cancer and was taking time off from acting to heal. At Sabarimala, his friend Mohanlal prayed for his well-being as well. But his team denied that he had cancer to the media. Later, MP John Brittas told Malayalam media house that Mammootty was receiving treatment for a medical condition, but he did not elaborate, referring to it as a “minor health issue.” George, Mammootty’s secretary, wrote on Instagram that he was now well.
