Manchu Vishnu’s Stand for Artist Rights: Hero and Heroine Pay Rule Enforced

Manchu Vishnu’s Stand for Artist Rights: Hero and Heroine Pay Rule Enforced

In a significant development in the Telugu film industry, a mandatory remuneration structure for heroes and heroines for events, immediately in effect, is announced by Manchu Vishnu, president of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA). Manchu Vishnu’s Stand for Artist Rights: Hero and Heroine Pay Rule Enforced.

Manchu Vishnu’s Stand for Artist Rights

Last Wednesday, Manchu Vishnu met with casting managers raising concerns about actors. Those performing in award functions and public events without payment. The outcome? A stricter rule: No artist shall perform without formal approval from the MAA association.

Dance & Skits Under Restrictions

The MAA’s permission is now mandatory for any dance performances, skits, mimicry, and other forms of entertainment. At award shows or external events. Whether they take place in India or abroad where Tollywood actors are bound to perform.

Fair Payment to Every Artist

There have historically been numerous instances where some actors were allowed to partake in award shows without being compensated. This move now protects the artists and makes sure they get their due. Especially younger or lesser-known artists who are often looked down upon by event organizers.

A Worldwide Mandate for Event Managers

Worldwide event managers are now on notice that MAA clearance must be obtained for any finalization of a performance that includes Tollywood actors. Any attempt to breach this rule will initialize serious processes against the guilty or blacklist them.

Going Stronger in Coordination

The decision came after much deliberation among the casting managers and the MAA body. Who have agreed on the need for better coordination and transparency in the booking process of artists for shows and award functions.
