Mirai Review and Rating: Teja Sajja Shines, Manoj and Shriya Steals the Show

Mirai review and rating:

After the massive success of Hanu-Man, Teja Sajja returns with Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni. The film combines Indian mythology with a modern superhero-like story, raising expectations among audiences. Let’s see how it fares.

Mirai review and rating:

Story

The film begins with Emperor Ashoka, who hides the secret of immortality in nine sacred books after the Kalinga war. Generations later, Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj), also called the Black Sword, is determined to seize these books and gain eternal power. Ambica (Shriya Saran), who protects one of the books, foresees danger and connects Vedha (Teja Sajja), an orphan in Hyderabad, to this legacy. The rest of the story reveals whether Vedha can rise to his destiny and stop Mahabir’s ruthless plans.

Performances

Teja Sajja shines again, showing charm in the first half and intensity in the second. Manchu Manoj makes a strong comeback as a powerful villain with fiery dialogue delivery and screen presence. Shriya Saran is impressive with an emotionally rich performance. Ritika Nayak does her part well, though her role could have been stronger. Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and Getup Srinu add good support, with a few comic touches.

Technical Aspects

The technical team has delivered on every front. Gowra Hari’s background score elevates many sequences, especially in action blocks. Director-cinematographer Karthik Gattamneni brings stunning visuals, and the VFX work is surprisingly polished for its budget. Editing is mostly sharp, though some comedy scenes could have been trimmed. Production values are rich, making the film look grand on screen.

Analysis

Mirai scores high with its blend of mythology and modern adventure. The identity reveal, pre-interval block, and epic action scenes create impact. However, the first half feels predictable, and the climax could have been stronger. Still, the strengths outweigh the flaws.

Verdict

Overall, Mirai is an entertaining and visually spectacular fantasy film. With Teja Sajja’s solid performance, Manoj’s villainy, and impressive technical work, it is worth watching on the big screen.

Single Line

Mirai is a stylish and thrilling fantasy adventure that delivers strong performances and stunning visuals.
