Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri Box Office Collections: Who Won This Week?

Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri Box Office Collections: Who Won This Week?

Mirai Vs Kishkindhapuri Box Office Collections: Two movies that really have been clashing this week were Mirai and Kishkindhapuri. Various results were visible. The two films buzzed even before their release, but after three days, there is a clear winner due to figures.

Mirai’s Strong Hold in Languages

Mirai started well with an opening of ₹13 crore on Day 1, of which more than ₹11 crore was from the Telugu version putting it on the front. Mirai’s second day has gone very good, it turned to ₹15 crore and thus shows a jump of 15.38% for Day 2 over its opening. While Sunday early estimates placed its earnings at ₹16.50 crore, this brings the film’s three-day total to ₹44.50 crore.

What stands out is that Mirai is strong in multiple languages. While definitely Telugu-dominated, the Hindi version contributed a pretty neat ₹4.65 crore over those three days, showing the film’s pan-Indian appeal. The groundwork has thus clearly been laid for long-term elevated status with this opening.

Kishkindhapuri’s Steady Climb

Kishkindhapuri opened moderately with collections of ₹2.15 crore on Day 1, and the buzz has been good for it with 32.56% growth in collections with ₹2.85 crore on Day 2. Early estimates on Sunday raise it to ₹3.25 crore.

Thus, while quite low compared to Mirai, it’s the constant growth of Kishkindhapuri that suggests a steady resonance with a rather niche audience. If positive word of mouth continues, it may well improve performance in the weeks ahead.

The Clear Winner Of The Week

Between the two, Mirai proved itself fair enough to emerge a winner in terms of box office receipts against Kishkindhapuri, with almost a five-time lead over the latter. That makes it naturally more suited towards wider and stronger front-thrusting Telugu audiences along with other languages. Kishkindhapuri, though much smaller in scale, has shown some promising growth and may continue to perform decently in its target markets.

The box-office clash this week indicates the two extremes of mass engagement and niche release. Mirai is, hence, the king of numbers, but Kishkindhapuri is the victor in forging its base of loyal audiences, implying both films discovered their space but only one found its glory.
