Diego Borella Death: The sudden death of Diego Borella, assistant director of Netflix’s popular series ‘Emily in Paris’, has shocked not only the entire unit but also the entertainment industry. 47-year-old Diego died on Friday (August 22) when he was shooting for the fifth season of the series in Venice, Italy. It is being told that when preparations were being made for the last episode of ‘Emily in Paris Season 5’ at the historic Hotel Danieli, Diego suddenly fell unconscious at around 7 pm. The medical staff present on the set tried hard to revive him. But it could not happen. Because he had already died.
According to reports, a local doctor has attributed Diego Borella’s death to a heart attack, which he suffered suddenly. However, the official cause of his death has not been revealed yet. After Diego’s sudden death, the production of the series has been halted for the time being.
‘Emily in Paris’ production company Paramount Television Studios has issued an official statement and mourned the death of Diego Borella. The spokesperson of the production house said in his statement, “We are confirming with great sadness that a member of the Emily in Paris family has died suddenly. We express our deepest condolences to his family in this difficult time.” Let us tell you that he was hired as the third assistant director in the third season of the Netflix series. He was active in visual arts and literature.
The creator of ‘Emily in Paris’ is Darren Star. This is a comedy series, whose first season came in 2020 and was a superhit. The fourth season of the series was streamed between August 2024 and September 2024. The shooting of the fifth season started in Rome in May. Later it was shot in Paris and now its shooting was going on in Venice. It is being told that apart from lead actress Lily Collins, many other new faces are going to enter the series this time. The streaming date of the series has not been revealed yet.
