Premiere Show for Kingdom: With only two days left for the lease, there is uncertainty over the premiere shows of the movie ‘Kingdom’. While fans are waiting with the idea of holding night premieres like big movies, the makers are not interested in premieres. Talk is that if the movie is screened early, there is a risk of negative talk, which will affect the first day collections. However, it is reported that the makers are planning to start the shows from 5 am on the release day itself, so that the fans do not get disappointed.
Rowdy star Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Kingdom’, directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, will be released worldwide on Thursday (July 31). The film is jointly produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Sowjanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Bhagyashree Borse plays the heroine. Sensational music director Anirudh is composing the music. The expectations have increased immensely with the recently released trailer. Fans are confident that Vijay Deverakonda, who has not had a proper hit for years, will definitely score a blockbuster with this movie. Vijay is also saying the same during promotions.
With only two days left for the release, the dilemma regarding premiere shows continues. Premiere shows are usually held the night before the release for big movies. Fans who are eager to watch their hero’s movie before everyone else watch premiere shows, no matter how much it costs. In the case of ‘Kingdom’, if fans are waiting for premiere shows in the same way, there is bad news. The makers are not interested in holding premiere shows for this movie. The makers feel that if the movie gets negative talk due to screening it early, it could affect the opening day collections, which is a big risk. However, they are planning to start the shows at 5 am on the release day so as not to hurt the fans. Clarity on this is yet to be received from the makers.
It is known that the AP government has given permission to increase the ticket prices of the movie ‘Kingdom’. It has issued orders allowing the price hike for ten days from the release date of the movie. It has allowed an increase of Rs. 50 (including GST) in single screens and Rs. 75 (including GST) in multiplexes. However, there is no mention of premiere shows anywhere in these orders. That is, even if premiere shows are held, they will have to be shown at those rates. Therefore, there will not be much difference in collections. In that case, the makers feel that it is unnecessary to hold special premiere shows. The government, which gave permission to increase the ticket price by Rs. 600 plus GST in addition to giving permission to the premiere shows of ‘Harihara Veeramallu’, has been the subject of discussion.
