OG Hindi Box Office Day 1 Collection: Pawan Kalyan and Emraana Hashmi Starrer Start Slow

The action thriller OG (They Call Him OG), starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, released in cinemas recently. While the movie has been eagerly awaited by fans, its Hindi version had a slow start at the box office. Limited promotion in North India and a narrow release contributed to the modest opening.

According to early estimates, OG earned around Rs 40 lakh net in Hindi on its first day. The film chose an early Thursday release instead of the usual Friday, which gave it a small head start. The collections mainly came from fans of mass-action films and audiences who enjoy South Indian dubbed movies. For the Hindi version, a stronger response over the weekend is essential to achieve a respectable total.

The timing could work in the film’s favor. With no major Hindi releases this weekend, OG has a chance to attract more viewers. However, it will still compete with ongoing films like Jolly LLB 3, which continues to hold audience attention. Another release, Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound, starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor, is expected to earn modestly because of its artsy nature. Yet, it has been receiving attention after its selection at the Academy Awards, so it could make a surprise impact.

While the Hindi box office has been quiet, OG is performing strongly in Telugu-speaking states and in North America. The worldwide opening day gross is estimated to cross Rs 100 crore, marking a new record for Pawan Kalyan and director Sujeeth.

Alongside Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, the movie features Priyanka Mohanan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy in important roles. With high-octane action sequences, gripping drama, and a strong supporting cast, the film is expected to see an improvement in collections as word-of-mouth spreads over the weekend.

Overall, while the Hindi debut was slow, the film’s potential in other regions and its mass appeal could make OG a notable success in the coming days.
