OG Prequel: Director Sujeeth, who is currently busy directing the much-awaited film They Call Him OG with Pawan Kalyan, has made it clear that a prequel is also under construction. The prequel proceeds to explore a deeper account of the protagonist, weaving in an exciting rendition of his father. This strand is meant to add a very potent tapestry of history, sacrifice, and legacy to the already rich cinematic universe of OG.
This prequel by itself does not just stand as an imaginary tale. But as one of the most important episodes in India’s history in regards to its freedom struggle. This tells the chapter when the brave men and women of India were taken by Subhash Chandra Bose to Japan. To lay the founding stones to the Indian National Army (INA). This gives away how ordinary people bid farewell to their homes, crossed seas, and braved even the hardest of times. In a cause they believed was worth fighting because of Bose’s firebrand leadership.
Sacrifice and Struggle.
Reaching the shores of Japan from India is no easy passage at all. Families had separated, and millions jeopardized their lives for the sake of fulfilling Bose’s freedom dream. The prequel is expected to capture the intensity of sacrifice in a raw and emotional vein, portraying not only the political struggle but also the human face to this historic movement.
Tying the Old with the New OG
This is what Sujeeth excels in storytelling, finding a bridge which takes in this historical saga into the fictional tale of OG. The father’s association with Bose’s mission gives the protagonist in OG a very potent bloodline legacy. Action and drama define this story, but not only purely action and drama: carrying on the legacy born from blood, sweat, and patriotism.
