‘OG’ Trailer: Well, it is finally here. They call him “OG” film’s trailer was released after a day and a half delay. Let’s not waste anymore time and see what is in store for us on September 25th.
Trailer Review
The film story happens in 1980’s Bombay, gang wars have started again in the city and commoners are the victims in that war. To save them and to go against the cruel gangsters and ‘OMI’, there is only one person, that person is “Ojas Ghambeera”. Who is Ojas? What is his connection to bombay? Was he a gangster from the past? To know all this we have to watch the film.
Plus points
Major plus points of the trailer can easily be credited to the film’s visuals and the music. Ravi K.Chandran framings and the visual style of presenting the older bombay looks authentic, with his visuals Thaman’s electrifying background score makes the high points.
Emraan Hashmi as OMI looked menacing, when he shouts at the kid we can see the evil in his eyes. Action scenes are good, they look real and can become an eye feast for the fans.
Pawan Kalyan, the major attraction
Throughout the trailer it is set up for the entry of Ojas, the star is shown in bits and pieces, his sword, his eyes, the sword dripping with blood, then the reveal comes when a news cameraman trying to click his picture. Pawan’s swag and attitude in vintage look is a feast for fans. His movement in action is very stylish and can be reminiscent of his previous films.
At the same time along with his menace there is a calm presence when is surrounded by the people he loves, this contrast is pulled by the actor effortlessly.

Minus points
All said and done, looking at the core of the film, there is a lack of emotional connection to the story, sure the star is elevated to the sky, but, will it be enough for the film to work in totality, take for example KGF, Rocky bhai is a caricature but he became a hero when he decided to save the people who are being oppressed which made us root for him. In this film or at least in the trailer that emotional graph was not visible, sure the visuals and music gave high in moments but in totality will that be enough?
And the cross cutting style screenplay is done to death for the past 3 years, it looks the same is happening in this film, there is a high possibility that it may become monotonous.
To answer all these doubts we just have to wait for a couple of days, let’s hope this film works big time at the box office.
