OG is a copy of Kabzaa
Kabzaa released in 2023, it starred Upendra, Kichcha Sudeepa and Shiva Rajkumar. The film bombed at the box office. R.Chandru the film’s director appeared on a Youtube interview to discuss his upcoming projects and productions.
During this interview he said that Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ has some shots inspired by Kabzaa, they appear in the trailer and he felt proud looking at them, he further clarified that inspiration is a part of creative process and people shouldn’t mistake it as plagiarism.
Comments backlash
His comments immediately drew backlash online, fans criticized him for saying and comparing his average film with stars to a super hit film like ‘OG’ with only a single star.
Sujeeth gives clarity on rumors
Yesterday there were rumors that Sujeeth spent 6 crores of his own money during the making of the film. This news went viral on social media, later Sujeeth released an official statement stating that he completely gives producer credit to DVV Danayya. And he and his team knows what it takes to make the film.
This statement is neither denial nor an official truth statement; it just puts rumors on the back burner.
‘OG’ on OTT
Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ is arriving on OTT soon and it will start to stream on Netflix from the 23rd of this month. With in month of the film’s release the film is arriving on Netflix.
