Peddi: Ram Charan Getting This Much Remuneration?

Peddi Ram Charan Remuneration: By now, everyone knows that Ram Charan is acting in a film called “Peddi”. Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana is directing this film under Vriddi Cinemas banner, they are co-producing this film with Sukumar Writings and Mytri Movie Makers.

Now, a talk is going on in the film circles that the film is being mounted with more than 300 crores budget and Ram Charan, the lead, is getting paid around 100 crores. Given the fact that Ram Charan’s previous film, “Game Changer,” under Shanker’s direction, became a box office disaster, marking the downfall of renowned producer Dil Raju. Makers of this film shelling out 100 crores for his remuneration shows the star power the actor holds in the market.

COST OF PEDDI:
Keeping Ram Charan’s remuneration aside, Peddi is costing about 200 crores for its production. This is not a huge number these days, especially for a star like Ram Charan. Normally, for a film of this scale, the shooting days might be more than 100; for Peddi, the team already shot for more than 70 days, and there are still 80 days of shooting left. This can become more than 150 days of shooting. A good pre-release business happened for the film because of the teaser the team released on April 8th this year, which in turn gave the makers the courage to spend this amount of money on its making.

Business of Peddi

The Ott platform bought the rights of Peddi had been bought with 130 crores and an additional grace of 20 crores, depending on the film’s run in theatres. The audio rights have been sold for 20 crores because the music is being composed by Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman. And for theatrical release rights, makers could cash in more than 120 crores(minimum), and overseas rights could fetch around 40 crores. Making the total recovery around 300 plus crores. Still, there are Hindi dubbing rights, satellite rights still left to be sold, so looking at all these numbers, the producers are already in the safe zone, and if the film works at the box office, they could cash in a huge profit.

Release of Peddi
Peddi is scheduled to release on March 27th next year, but the remaining 80 days of shoot should be completed this year itself for the film to have a breathing space for the post-production works.
