Kalki ‘2’: Ever since Deepika Padukone exited from the sequel of 1000 crore grosser Kalki, Internet is swarming with speculations on who could replace her in the sequel, while makers did not reveal any update on the replacement. From yesterday there is news floating around on the internet that Nag-Ashwin is in final talks with Sai Pallavi for the film.

A female-centric film or Kalki ‘2’?

Nag-Ashwin, is said to be in the final stages of casting for Kalki ‘2’, his meeting with the actor sparked these discussions among the industry insiders. But, everyone is wondering, is this much talked about meeting can be for the replacement in the sequel or for a separate female-centric film. 

Nothing has been officially confirmed by the makers or the filmmaker, we have to wait and see if this news turns out to be true or not.

Is Sai Pallavi the correct choice?

In Kalki 2898AD, Deepika Padukone played Sumati, she is the hope for carrying humanity forward, in her stomach a saviour is going to be born who can defeat the mighty powerful Yaskin. This role required grace and humility from the actor, Deepika pulled it off with ease, and now if Sai Pallavi accepts the role, she would be the perfect choice for the role.

Sai Pallavi has already shot for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, she played the goddess Sita role in that film. With that experience in her kitty, she could be the best choice right now for Nag Ashwin, so he choosing to approach her makes complete sense. 

A female centric film

Nag Ashwin made Mahanati with Keerthy Suresh in 2019, that film is a biography of actress Savitri. Released as a tribute to the legendary actor, Mahanati became the biggest hits of tollywood in the year 2019, it collected over 100 crores at the worldwide box office. 

Now, Nagi wanting to make another female-centric film is no surprise, because he already has a hit film under his belt in this category.
