On July 8, PLEDIS Entertainment announced that Hoshi and Woozi will begin their mandatory military service in September 2025. The news, shared through Weverse, left fans emotional yet supportive. With each enlistment, the group’s dynamic continues to evolve, and this latest update signals another bittersweet moment for SEVENTEEN’S Fans – CARATs.
According to the official statement, Woozi will enlist on September 15, followed by Hoshi on September 16. Both idols will be temporarily stepping away from SEVENTEEN’s group activities during their service. PLEDIS reassured fans that pre-recorded content will be released during this period to keep the group’s presence alive.
Before their enlistment, Hoshi and Woozi will participate in two final events. First is the highly anticipated ‘HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING]’, where fans will get one last chance to see the duo perform together. They will also join SEVENTEEN’s 5th studio album ‘Yizhiyu’ video call fan signing, offering fans a more intimate farewell. These events are expected to draw emotional responses from the fandom, as they mark the end of an era—at least for now.
Hoshi and Woozi are the third and fourth members of SEVENTEEN to enlist, following Jeonghan and Wonwoo, who began their service in September 2024 and April 2025, respectively. With more members preparing for duty, PLEDIS is carefully managing schedules to ensure SEVENTEEN remains visible in the industry.
