Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has won the Septimius Award for Best Asian Actor for the second time. Tovino won the 2025 Best Asian Actor award for his outstanding performance in the film “Narivetta”. Tovino had won this award for the first time in 2023. He had won this award for his performance in the film “2018”. Tovino won the award this year after competing against Vijay Sethupathi, Aram Sabba, Mahmood Bakri, Missagh Sare, Nima Sadr, Vanlop Runkumjad and Jerome Kurnia.
Narivetta, directed by Anuraj Manohar and starring Tovino Thomas in the lead role, received a good response from the audience and critics. Tovino Thomas gave a great performance in the film. Tovino played the role of a police character in the film, which was based on true events. Narivetta was produced by India GCC Trade Ambassador Shias Hassan and Tipu Shan, a building material export business entrepreneur in the UAE, under the banner of Indian Cinema Company.
The highlight of the film, which discussed a very relevant topic, is the magnificent performance of Tovino. The script of the film was written by Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award winner Abin Joseph. Apart from Tovino Thomas and Cheran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Priyamvada Krishna, Arya Salim and Rini Udayakumar played the main roles in the film. Narivetta has become another golden feather in the career of Tovino Thomas, who is shining in Malayalam cinema today as an actor through his different film choices and role plays, and as a star through huge box office hits.
