Twisted Metal Season 2: On August 1, 2025, the second season of the heart-pounding action comedy Twisted Metal will be available for streaming on Sony LIV (OTTplay Premium) in India. The series was developed by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Michael Jonathan Smith and was inspired by the wildly popular vehicle combat video game franchise from Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Twisted Metal Season 2: Cast and Plot

Anthony Mackie stars as John Doe in Twisted Metal, alongside Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, Will Arnett, and Thomas Haden Church. To set the tone, the creators placed the story in a post-apocalyptic world. In the beginning, Season 1 focused on John, a fast-talking milkman with amnesia, who had to deliver a strange package across a dangerous and desolate United States. Throughout his journey, John faced violent enemies and weaponized vehicles, yet he also found hope for a better life and clues to a much larger narrative.

Originally, Peacock premiered the first season in the U.S. on July 27, 2023. As a result, viewers quickly formed a loyal fan base, drawn to the show’s dark humor, wild action, and its faithful adaptation of the original game. Following its success, the makers renewed the series for a third season in December 2023 and scheduled Season 2 to premiere on Peacock on July 31, 2025. Meanwhile, Sony LIV will stream the new season in India from August 1, allowing Indian viewers to watch it online simultaneously.

New Season and New Twists:

John and Quiet survive their dangerous mission but now face an unwelcome role in the infamous Twisted Metal tournament. Season two picks up directly after the first season finale. The mysterious Calypso plans the ruthless demolition derby, bringing in both new and familiar enemies, including the return of the murderous clown Sweet Tooth. John reunites with his long-lost sister Dollface, who now fights as a masked vigilante. Their tense relationship and clashing agendas drive the new plot in an unexpected direction.

Moreover, Twisted Metal joins the expanding collection of PlayStation IPs that have been made available for streaming, along with titles from PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures Television. Looking ahead, the second season promises to be more intense, featuring character-driven arcs, unexpected comedy, and stylized action. Notably, Sony LIV (OTTplay Premium) will stream the ten-episode second season in India starting August 1, 2025.
