Priya Marathe is known to TV viewers as an actress. She originally hails from Thane, Maharashtra. She was born on 23 April 1987 and has been working in the entertainment industry for the past 20 years.
Priya Marathe did her schooling from Mumbai and also completed her college from here. After completing her studies, Priya Marathe entered the world of acting. She made her acting debut in 2005 with the Marathi serial ‘Ya Sukhanoya’. However, she got recognition from ‘Char Divas Sasuche’.
Priya Marathe’s first Hindi show ‘Kasam Se’ started telecasting in 2008. Later she appeared in important roles in serials like ‘Pavitra Rishta’, ‘Uttaran’, ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’, ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra: Maharana Pratap’ and ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’.
Priya Marathe made her Bollywood debut with the 2008 film ‘Humne Jeena Seekh Liya’. Milind Uike was the director and writer of this film and actors like Siddharth Chandekar, Mrinmayee Deshpande, Girish Oak, Reema Lagoo and Milind Gunaji also appeared in this film. Priya Marathe was also seen in the Marathi film ‘Ti Ani Itar’ directed by Govind Nihalani, which also featured actors like Subodh Bhave, Sonali Kulkarni, Amrita Subhash and Bhushan Pradhan.
Priya Marathe was married. According to reports, Priya Marathe married Shantanu Moghe on 24 April 2012. Shantanu is the son of veteran actor and theater artist late Shrikant Moghe.
