Hari Hara Veera Mallu: A few days ago, Tamil actor Sathyaraj went full Periyar mode and slammed Pawan Kalyan during his visit to Chennai. He warned that “religion-based politics” won’t work in Tamil Nadu, threw around terms like rationalism and Periyar ideology, and painted Pawan Kalyan as some clueless outsider trying to “fool” the Tamil people. Dramatic? Very. But here’s the real twist.

Guess who just showed up in the Hari Hara Veera Mallu trailer? None other than the same Sathyaraj, acting in a movie starring Pawan Kalyan himself. Oh, the irony! After all the chest-beating speeches, here he is, comfortably cashing cheques from a film headlined by the very man he trashed days ago. And it’s not some blink-and-miss role either. He’s there, loud and proud.

Now, let’s assume for a second that Sathyaraj shot this film before the controversy. Fair. But even then, doesn’t he feel the slightest bit of shame now? After dragging Pawan Kalyan through a political mudfight in front of Tamil media, he continues to profit off a film that glorifies the same man? Or is this what they call “rationalist hypocrisy”?

And guess what? Pawan didn’t stay silent. In the trailer, he subtly roasted Sathyaraj with the line: “Nenu ravali ani chala mandi devudiki dandam petukuntaru… kani nenu rakuda undadaniki meru chustunnaru.” (Many pray for my arrival, but you want me to stay away?) A line so poetic, it might as well have been written just for Kattappa.

Maybe Sathyaraj forgot he was in the film. Or maybe his ideology only kicks in at press meets, not while signing movie contracts. Either way, the internet isn’t buying the act. The man who swore against mixing religion and politics didn’t seem to mind mixing controversy and commercial cinema. Now, who’s fooling whom, Sathyaraj?
