Kiara’s unlikely appearance is neither for the conventional Bollywood princesses nor as an ornamental one: her appearance in the trailer must have much brawn beside some bare skin shown gliding in gripping sequences, intense gunfights, and face-offs with (and sometimes against) the male leads. Social media is rife with praises for her exhilarating screen presence and action-ready look, suggesting that her character has major involvement in the storyline.
Her stardom and a good amount of box-office hits backed with critical acclaim make her a strong candidate to carry a solo spy thriller. After all, YRF does have a history of placing strong female leads; maybe Kiara is their next long-term investment.
YRF Spy Universe translates to the Indian version of Hollywood’s MCU. With Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2, there seems to be cristal-clear intent to expand the narrative. Through crossovers and introducing new leads. If Kiara’s character goes down well with the audience, it’s very much possible that she gets her spin-off, just like Marvel did with Black Widow or Wanda after their respective roles in ensemble projects. The groundwork has already been laid with the success of Katrina Kaif’s Zoya and Deepika Padukone’s Rubina. Let’s see if Kiara officially joins the league with War 2 of high-octane female-driven spy thrillers!
