Ind-Pak Tensions: As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate following recent cross-border military actions, major IT and consulting firms in India have swiftly implemented work-from-home (WFH) policies to ensure employee safety. Companies like Deloitte, EY, HCLTech, KPMG, and Tech Mahindra have issued advisories, particularly for employees in high-alert northern regions such as Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Gurugram, urging remote work and deferring non-essential travel.
The heightened conflict, marked by drone and missile strikes, has prompted firms to prioritize security. Deloitte India has established an all-India command centre hotline and advised staff in border areas to return to base locations. EY India issued WFH directives for offices in sensitive zones, while KPMG allows flexible work arrangements after manager consultations. Tech Mahindra has also restricted travel and cautioned employees against posting about the conflict on social media to curb misinformation.
