India is hosting World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 from May 1 to May 4 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai. The summit, sponsored by Netflix and organized by Reskilll, will engage filmmakers, actors, and storytellers. They come from around the world to share ideas on the way forward for movies, TV shows, gaming, and digital storytelling. Priyanka Chopra thanks PM modi for historic ‘WAVES 2025’.
Global star Priyanka Chopra has expressed her excitement for the event, calling it a “bold step” and “historic” for India’s creative economy. In a video message, she highlighted how WAVES 2025 signals that India’s entertainment industry is thriving and ready to lead globally.
Priyanka Chopra appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministries. For their amazing support in identifying the media, entertainment, and creator economy as a large industry. She again reiterated that WAVES 2025 is a platform where India’s talent, creativity, and ambition get to shine on the world map.
The summit will bring together over 10,000 delegates, 1,000 creators, 300 companies, and 350 startups, and leaders from 90 countries. WAVES 2025 will also host the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, and Alia Bhatt, and organizers say it will be a star-studded affair.”

With WAVES 2025, India is sending a robust message of increasing presence in the global entertainment economy. The summit will result in innovation, co-creation, and new opportunities, making sure that India’s creative economy continues to expand globally.
