He revealed details about the highly anticipated sequel to Taare Zameen Par, titled Sitaare Zameen Par. Fans are eagerly awaiting this sequel, which promises to bring the same emotional depth and impactful storytelling as its predecessor. Aamir Khan’s presence at the event and his exciting announcements added to the festive atmosphere.
In the event, Aamir Khan opened up about his upcoming film Sitare Zameen Par which acts as a sequel to Tare Zameen Par. Talking about the shooting of the film Aamir Khan said, “The sequel to Taare Zameen Par is Sitaare Zameen Par, and the climax of that movie was shot in Vadodara. When I was young, many of my father’s films were shot in Gujarat. I was very small at that time, so I would come here. Today, all those memories have come rushing back, There have been a lot of changes in Vadodara. There are many luxurious buildings now, and the roads have improved significantly. When I first came here, I was probably around 12 years old. A lot of changes have taken place in this area since then.”
The film Sitaare Zameen Par was initially set to hit theatres on Christmas 2024. Due to unexpected setbacks, the film hasn’t made it to the theatres on the expected date. Now in the same event, The 3 Idiots actor addressed fans with the new expected release date. Aamir Khan said, “My next film as a lead actor is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun.”
Sitaare Zameen Par is a direct sequel to Taare Zameen Par which was about a child who has dyslexia. So it is a film that explored the themes of challenges of multiple intelligences, and how we are quick to judge people based on their written and reading IQ. Whereas people have multiple intelligences who do not get recognized often. every one of us has difficulties and weakness, qualities that make us magical and unique. That theme is the theme that is taken forward in Sitaare Zameen Par.
