From Selling Snacks on a cycle to making a turnover of 1400 crore business Gopal Snacks owner Bipin Hadvani’s story is no less than a Bollywood movie.
He left his with just 4500 rupees borrowed from his father and decided to start a Gujrati snack brand business in Rajkot. But he and his partner had to break apart from the business, Hadvani had to start everything from the scratch. With the help of his wife, he started Gopal Snacks and he used to sell those in the local markets and retail shop owners on his cycle. Unfortunately they had to close their factory due to heavy debt payments. But Hadvani didn’t stop there itself, he took a loan and opened few manufacturing units in Rajkot. This decision of his started getting negative comments and no one believed that this will work. But in 2012 Gopal Snacks touched it’s first 100 crore. Today they provide eight four variety of snacks across ten different states in India making a turnover of Rs 1400 crore in 2022.
Who is Bipin Hadvani:
Bipin Hadvani is the Founder and Managing Director of Gopal Snacks. He is born and brought up in Gujrat. Bipin’s father used to own homemade Gujrati snacks. From there he started getting ideas and motivation to start a proper business and be successful. In the start he used to sell his snacks on cycle and now he is the managing director of the second largest snacks brand in Gujrat. With the support from his wife and his family made his establish now 1300 crore snack business. He is expert in producing quality and affordable snacks in India. His brand is now second biggest player in India.
In one interview he has suggested upcoming entrepreneurs that “if you want to earn money then make the business bigger not the price”. He learned from his father about the business management and business strategies.

What is the Market size of Snacks Industry India:
Due to increase in demand in convenient food options in the market, snacks market is growing very faster in India. Presently Indian snacks market size is almost 46,000 crore in 2024. According to the research there is a growth of 8.63% between 2025 to 2033.
With the increase in Urbanization and also now a days most of the people are choosing convenient food in their lifestyle.
