UPI Users Fraud Alert: There are discussions about the shutdown of the Unified Payment Interface, i.e., UPI, across the country. People are complaining about UPI not working in different ways through social media. UPI payment is being reported as a failure for digital payments by many users. People are facing problems in both sending and receiving money. Amidst the news of UPI being down, Unified Payment Interface has warned users with an alert related to the update. Yes, UPI and NPCI have advised users to avoid new types of fraud. Along with this, information has been given on how you can protect yourself from the fraud that is happening and keep the money in the bank account safe.

UPI has issued an alert regarding fraud related to PAN Card 2.0 through its official X account. The X account has alerted users with the hashtag “I am not a fool.” The post reads, “Not every upgrade is a step forward—some can drain your financial resources. Share this with your friends so they can say #MainMoorkhNahiHoon.” Along with this, information has been given about how your bank account can be at risk.

UPI Security Warning:

Through the post, users have been informed that fraudsters are committing fraud in the name of upgrading PAN cards. The post says, “Your PAN card has been blocked, and to upgrade to PAN card 2.0 quickly, provide your bank account details and Aadhaar number. In this way, people can be defrauded by fraudsters. Therefore, do not share details like your bank account, PAN card, and Aadhaar card with anyone.

How to protect yourself

1. Do not click on any unknown link.

2. Do not share bank account-related information with anyone.

3. Do not share PAN card numbers.

4. Do not share Aadhaar card number and other details.

5. Do not trust the verification call of PAN 2.0.
